Guinea Pig

Nope, it's not sunblock! So I found on an internet site the other day some home beauty care tip thingys and one was to use Elmer's glue to get rid of blackheads on your nose so Kurt decided to try it out for me! FYI it didn't work all that well and it took forever to dry so he was walking around all night with it on and Kylan kept trying to pick it off! Good thing I have a guinea pig!

Not happy!

Kylan's mood this week!

In the above she was mad because she shut herself in our closet and couldn't get out and I just happened to be in there with her where the camera was!

These 2 are because I took her binky away. As you can see it starts out whining and then goes to a full fledged tantrum! She was also in a little trouble because she ripped out all of the Christmas stuff in her closet. I think we're starting on the "Terrible 2's"

Kirtland Trip

The Kirtland Temple. It was a little odd because it's owned by the Reorganized Church, or now the Communtiy of Christ, so you have to watch a video of theirs and they take you on a tour and they just don't have things quite right. It was still really neat to be inside the temple and see Joseph Smith's office and where he sat at the pulpit and where the saints actually walked. They've done a really good job at keeping things as nice as possible and as original as possible. Even the front doors and the same color of green they were originally. What surpised me as that their church still holds meetings in the Temple and have big gatherings there. How would that be?

I don't know if you can see in the picture but by his time of the day Kylan was hot, tired, and just plain grouchy so she was screaming while Kurt took the picture.

The grounds were very well kept and very pretty and green.

The Johnson Inn

Above is the Newel K. Whitney store as you can see and the picture below it is the upstairs of the store where Joseph Smith received several sections of the Doctrine and Covenants. It was weird to picture him sitting there. Right next to this room was a little tiny room that was the School of the Prophets. I didn't get a picture of it, don't know why! But it was such a small little room and the Sister Missionary said they'd fit up to 30 men in it and they'd all sit there and smoke their pipes while Emma (Smith)'s bedroom was right next door. The Whitney store is also an original frame.

Above is the home of Newel & Elizabeth Whitney. The frame of the home is original but of course there's been lots of updates. The chair in the picture above is an actual chair Newel Whitney built. Even some of the floor boards were original.

The Beach

We got to go over to a beach on Lake Erie on Saturday. It was a beautiful day besides the wind blowing. Kylan wasn't too sure about it, she got in the water a little bit but then I think she got cold and stayed wrapped up in a towel the rest of the time.














Kurt had fun fighting the waves, he went pretty far out and the waves were pretty big so there were times when you couldn't even see him! Kinda scary.

I on the other hand didn't venture out too far. It was a little too powerful for me and I was afraid to get sucked under :)

Well, here's the fun part. AFTER all that we were heading up the stairs to go home and turned around at the top and saw a sign that said something to the extent of the water quality being poor due to high levels of bacteria in the water and advised not to swim, especially children, elderly, and those prone to sickness! We're not dead yet!

White Coat Ceremony

Little blurry sorry!

Last Sunday we got to go to Kurt's White Coat Ceremony! It was really fun to see Kurt officially get started, before we know it he'l be Dr. Kinghorn! Kylan was a little restless, it just so happened that that was the night she got really sick. Sorry the pictures are a little blurry, Kylan made it difficult for me to get the pictures I wanted and everything was happening so fast I had to hurry. He's kind of hard to point out in the pictures, he's wearing a blue shirt with yellow tie.

"Wild Woman" is her nickname because that's what she is! For some reason she's obsessed with my swimsuit and packs it around all day and tries to put it on so we helped her out a little!

The Cleveland Zoo!

Kylan had a blast at the Cleveland Zoo. Too bad it was soooooo hot and humid that day or we would've stayed longer! My favorite was the sea lions! Kylan's I think was the birds because she could mimic them.

We made it!

Here we are in Ohio! We've been here almost a month now. Our apartment is nice and we like the area and the ward. Kylan is adjusting and I think she'll make some good friends here!
